Just curious if anyone else here on the forum collects spaghetti westerns on DVD? I currently have 54 on DVD and like to talk with other fans about other good releases.

I have the Dollar movies and Good/Bad/Ugly and all of the Bud Spencer/Terrence Hill movies, but I wouldn't call myself a Spaghetti Westerns collector...

I have quite a few in my collection, but I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore collector of them.

I own all of the Sergio Leone ones. I also love the first two Trinity films with Bud Spencer/Terrence Hill. Man of the East is fun too.

I think the term was coined with success of the Clint Eastwood/Sergio Leone Westerns, "the man with no name". Carried over to Italian directed Westerns. But most probably shot in Spain.

I only have a few:
Roy Colt & Winchester Jack (The Mario Bava Collection)
The Sabata Trilogy
Sabata
Return of Sabata
Adiós, Sabata
Texas, Adios
Keoma
Four of the Apocalypse
Compañeros 2/10/2004
A Bullet for the General
The Great Silence
For a Few Dollars More
A Fistful of Dollars
Once Upon a Time in the West (Special Collector's Edition) Got to be the best Western ,IMHO.
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Django / Django Strikes Again (Limited Edition)
We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.

Well, IMO in overall it's the second one (The Good, the bad and the Ugly), yet the first three scenes of Once Upon a Time in the West are clearly pure excellence.

I enjoy them but only own a few

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
A Fist Full of Dollars
For A Few Dollars More

In my opinion Sergio Leone was the underrated directorial genius of his time.

A friend of mine has these insanely rare Japanese Macaroni Western Bible boxsets. Only 3 of them are in the database. He refuses to lend them to me, so I can put them in the database for him.

And the later volumes don't even have English subs, so he's stuck with Italian spoken westerns with Japanese subs....

I never knew that!  Seems kind of obvious now that I know.
