I liked the idea of having playing the soundtrack of amovie while browsing the Profile in DVDP.

See this thread:
http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=429110

I'll try to find to all my profiles a song/score/theme that matches, to have another nice feature in DVDP.

I hope on some movies you can help me to find a matching title.
I'll post the titles I found in here as help for other users, searching the right title.
If you would like you could also post some as help.

This is not for sharing MP3's!!! This is just as help to find Title and Interpreter of the main song/theme/title of a movie. This is often a big search.
How you get the title is your problem.
And mine    as, I've many soundtracks bought on CD, but also many missing.

Two examples, how I would post main songs/themes of movies:

Pirates of the Caribbean
The Black Pearl - Klaus Badelt

Terminator
The Terminator Theme - Brad Fiedel

I have the tracklisting of over 500 soundtrack CD's on my website.

You can check it out here.

I have a very large (100+) collection of Jerry Goldsmith scores. Also a fair amount of John Williams, Ennio Morricone and James Horner scores are in there as well.

To the understanding for what this thread was made.
I want to add the main theme/song for a movie to DVDP.
But the problem is often to know which one it is. For example: What would be the main song from "Johnny Was"?
What I've found, is a track list in alphabetic order, but which is the main song? Or the best matching song for this movie?
In most cases I don't want to have the whole soundtrack. For just having a little background music in DVDP one song is enough for me. (Btw, I also don't want to have to download the whole soundtrack. This could make my wallet very empty  )
But which one should it be in this case?
Quote:
Johnny's actions ignite a simmering war on two fronts with his drug-dealing neighbor and his former boss Jimmy (Roger Daltrey). Johnny faces questions of race, morality, loyalty, and ultimately survival - played out against a great reggae sound track from legendary DJ-producer Adrian Sherwood.'

Here is the tracklisting, in alphabetical order:

•2 Bad Card - Weed Specialist
•Adrian Sherwood - Stepping Crowd
•Adrian Sherwood - Trot One Off
•Adrian Sherwood - Zero Zero One
•Adrian Sherwood - X Planation
•Afro Celt Soundsystem - Whirl-Y-Reel 1
•Beanie Man - In the Ghetto
•Creation Rebel - Space Movement 5
•Congo Ashanti Roy - Breaking Down the Pressure
•Congo Natty - Banana Boat Man
•Congo Natty - H.I.M. War

•Dub Syndicate - Fight the Power
•Dub Syndicate - Stoned Immaculate
•Ganja Kru - Super Sharp Shooter
•Ghetto Priest - Visionary
•Ghetto Priest/Ri Ra - Rise Up
•Harry Beckett - Monsters
•Home T./Cocoa Tea/Shabba Ranks - Pirates Anthem
•Ja-Man All Stars - Herb Cutter
•Junior Delgado - Invisible Music
•King Tubby - Great Stone
•King Tubby - Peace and Love in the Dub
•Lee Perry/Dub Syndicate - You Thought I Was Dead
•Lenky Marsden - Diwali Rhythm

This isn't what you've been asking for, but when I want to listen to music from films/TV/games, I go to Streamingsoundtracks.com.

It's kind of like a radio station in that the tracks are added to a playlist & can be requested by users. To avoid a particular track being played over and over, once it's been played, it can't be added again until after a certain number of hours/days. Likewise, users can only make requests every so often depending on how busy the service is.

Just in case anybody is interested. I have also solved all these issuse in LoadDVD Pro. It has an embedded WMP player, Playlist Manager, and it will play almost anything: mp3, mpg, avi, ISO, YouTube, Vevo, Google video, Hulu, other flash based files (just put the embed code into the playlist), as well as web URLs. It will also automatically make slide shows from your ScenePhotos and CreditPhotos and will also automatically make playlists from URLS embedded in Notes and from the Profiler Trailers page.

Non-flash playlist items amd Youtube items will automaticaly transition in the playlist - when one stops, the next will play, regardless of which DVDs you are working on inside Profiler. The embedded window is resized automatically when you resize Profiler, and like all other embedded windows, you can dock it anywhere as well as double click for full screen.

Sorry for the sales pitch. But just in case somebody can use it, it is there. So you have the choice of that very clever HTML solution, and also a plugin version that gives some additional features.
Thanks for your support.

Nice idea.   I would love it!

Both my music streaming programmes, WiMP and Spotify, enables linking of tracks simply via URLs. When Profile Links is fully enabled in DVDP it could trig streaming services like WiMP & Spotify. ( These are LEGAL, but not neccesarily available "world wide" )

Like this [WiMP]
and this [Spotify] ( Les Parapluies de Cherbourg )

I have now submitted links under "Games and Other" for the given title, for trying the idea!

Thanks for all the hints.

But the problem on all this streams is how to get them into DVDP.
I just know mediadogg's plugin which could make it possible. Or is there a other way?
Btw, these would also make it possible to play a Trailer of the movie or am I wrong with this? (These would be something I also would like to have in my layout) Is for this another way to add?

Both "my" players (WiMP & Spotify) have their own (proprietary) apps, which could run in background.
( Outside/independent of DVDP or IE / Firefox / Opera )
But I think some development has to be done, either by Invelos, or by Plug-In developers.

Today, when eg. a friend shares a link, either by mail or, lets say, Facebook, clicking the link the streaming app starts playing in background.

This should/could be even easier, as movieplayers are more standarized, and more likely to be present on the PC (without subscription... ) Given that someone has submitted a link to a trailer, that is...

That's the conclusion I came to. That's why the plugin. The other problem I am attempting to solve is a multimedia playlist concept. I don't know of any other player that can sequence everyting from ISO's to Youtube in the same playlist. I'm sure that some company will come along and put it into a product, if the idea become popular.

But making a common playlist is hard. I have a lot of code that tries to manage the sequencing, mounting ISOs, recognizing when the video has finisihed, maintaining aspect ratio, recognizing and converting different flash player embed formats, etc. So I decided to ask for a very small support fee, as a way to justify the many hours of work to do it. Once again, my apologies for blowing my own horn here - if I am out of place, I will gladly remove the post.
Thanks for your support.

Cool Chris! Do you own all of these? I have most of those Richard Band CD soundtracks in my collection as well.
