| Posted: | | | | Date ordered - and keep receive date in Notes field, which is also sorting order, so highest collection number is last film arrived. | | | |

| Posted: | | | | I use the date I actually recieved the DVD/Blu-Ray. No reason except that's what I used when I started, and want to remain consistent. | | | http://www.dvdinfatuation.com |

| Posted: | | | | Date posted would be difficult anyway, since I wouldn't always know. (I use a lot of different sources). | | | Hans |

I use date posted as even though I use loads of different sources they almost all send a 'we posted your DVD today' email when they send. I keep a note of date ordered in the Notes field until I receive it so I can track how long the order has been with them and get a feel for the accuracy of "we can usually get new stock in X days" claims of various suppliers! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

I actually kept these data in an excel sheet for a while, until I was satisfied about who the good suppliers are. Big unknown between send date and actual receipt is customs, which can take up to 6 weeks... I avoid ordering in batches now, and mostly escape customs. Extra transport costs is easily offset against import tax + handling fees. | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | The date I buy it. Of course, since I almost never order anything online, this is when it comes into my house. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | For store purchases, the day I buy it. For online purchases, the day it arrives. It hardly happens, but sometimes packages do get lost/stolen. So if I don't have the item in my hands, I don't own it. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

| Posted: | | | | For online purchases I use the order date and put it in my Ordered list. Upon arrival I move it to Owned, but leave the purchase date untouched. |
