Out of the blue it started running loudly.  I only watch Blu Rays on it.  I don't play video games and got it because it was the chepest and only wifi player at the time.  It has run fine for years.  The only thing I can think of is I have a Terminator 2 Blu Ray collectors head next to it; but it ran fine for about three weeks with the head next to it, any ideads on how to fix it.  I do not want to buy a new player until 32 comes down in price and they have a 5 disc changer.

Yeah it is pretty weird, I don't really understand why that was causin a problem.  I also dusted the vents, which were not very dusty but that may have helped as well.

No doubt RF interference from the terminator's electronic brain.

It has to be, those Terminators are dangerous machines.

This is also what I heard in some rumors.

You were probably obstructing the air vents.  Make sure they're dust free and not covered.

Could have been just a vibration coming from the head that sounded like it was the machine. That drawer in the back maybe.

Or the RF Interference.

So watch out that the PS3 doesn't become self-aware.
If it does, you know what to do
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

You have to start worrying if your PS3 wants to be addressed as HAL 9000

Back ontopic, what the TS discribed looks like a bad fan or like he said something that vibrates if it's standing near the PS3. Sometimes a 'cold' fan will make loud noises which fade after a couple if minutes.
