Let me say first of all, I absolutely love DVDP and the continued updates from Ken. Thanks.

We now have the ability to track Feature Trailers and/or Bonus Trailers in 3.6. I have always wanted a way to search for a specific trailer to view on my TV. I know we can view trailers online, but that becomes impractical when you have 3 or more people trying to crowd around your computer, not to mention the inconvenience once everyone is settled in and ready to view the movie. My computer is in the same room as my BRDs/DVDs, so in less than a minute, I can fire up DVDP, search for and return with the BRD/DVD that has the trailer requested. The problem is unless I just watched it, I can't remember which one it's on.

Unless someone has a better idea, here's what I am doing. As I re-audit films, I am entering a list of Bonus Trailers in the Notes field of the personal tab, so they can be searched on. We don't need a list for Feature Trailers as they speak for themselves and would be available on the disc you are about to view. Carriage returns do not work in this field, so I am putting an em dash with a space on each side to separate them. I might experiment with bullets instead, as some titles have dashes in them.

Since there is no other way, that I can tell, to track or search for them, I am willing to share as I complete and contribute to the online db. If there is anyone else interested in this sort of thing, we would need to find a way for me to distribute them. I do not have nor am I interested, at this time, in having and maintaining a web site. I will not be offended by any responses, or lack thereof, on this subject. If anyone else can think of a better way to enter them, please let me know. I thought of proposing we include them at the bottom of the overview, but quickly realized that would annoy some people and rightly so, if they're not interested.

Yeah, I know that at present it is against the rules, but also realized it would annoy people not interested in this sort of thing. I like your idea of putting the Movie Title and UPC in the thread, I didn't think of that one.

My interest lies in knowing what disc I can find a particular trailer on, when there's not a feature trailer to play on my TV. I know about the different ways to play them on my computer, which is great when I am on the computer, but not for others who would like to see a trailer before watching a flic with my wife and I. I'm not sure what HTML has to do with a quick searchable list in the notes field nor what an HTML section is, but thanks for the info.
