| Posted: | | | | Just got back from this and felt the urge to warn others. Don't spend extra for 3-D. This so obviously wasn't intended to be a 3-D film all along. The couple 3-D trailers before it had much better effect. I've seen 3 3-D flicks recently, My Bloody Valentine, The Final Destination and Avatar. Except Avatar, all had the "Real-D" glasses, and had jaw-dropping 3-D effects. Stuff just sitting out there in your lap.
Clash had none of this. I kept lifting my glasses and there was minimal fuzz, and nearly all of it was background, like it tried for depth into the screen but not much out of it. Movie was good, but the 3-D was a waste and very disappointing, esp. since the other 3 have all floored me with coolness. Save those extra few bucks for popcorn, cuz the 3-D doesn't pop! Movie is worth seeing for sure, but I still have more love for the original. |

| Posted: | | | | I am definitely going to see it in 2D. It is just hard to find a theater showing it that way around here. Our normal viewing location is 3D only. I am not paying extra for a movie that wasn't even shot in 3D. Plus, why pay extra for a migraine. I can get that for free at home. | | | Schultzy - http://www.michaelschultz.net grenactics - The art of skillfully fraggin one’s opponent with the use of grenades or other compact explosive devices that are thrown by hand or projected. |

I feel ripped off and a victim of false advertising. Bush league move from WB who until I respected for not making stupid moves (selling dvr's aside). I hope this doesn't kill 3-D. The new 3-D, when done right from filming, is amazing now. Hopefully all the kids have seen good 3-D with the animated flicks, I've seen good 3-D with horror, and everyone will raise their middle finger to WB for this move and 3-D will live on. I should've asked for my money back... | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

In this particular case, reading the comments linked to in this thread, you're obviously right... but don't forget that some of us rather like the subtle depth use of 3-D rather than the "oooh, it's coming out of the screen obvious in-your-face' approach... which even if it works well at the cinema just isn't going to cut it on home 3D unless your screen is HUGE and takes up a heck of a lot of viewing angle... all IMO of course! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
