| Posted: | | | | This morning while in Walmart... I was doing some grocery shopping when I got to the isle with the flour. Apparently there is was thin layer of flour on the isle floor that I didn't see. Well that was enough for me to slip. And not just a slip... both feet went from under me... in different directions... causing me to do a split. And like I said when I was a teen in gym class.... Men are not meant to do splits... there is a few things that gets in the way!
Well needless to say that hurt. It took me a good minute but I was able to get up and I seemed to be able to walk it off.... feeling better by the time I was done shopping. So I just thought forget it... I am fine.
Well I just laid down for a little while to watch a show I recorded last night... when I tried to get up I tightened up and could barely move. Everyone over here said I made a mistake by not telling someone over at Walmart about my fall.
What do you all think? Should I have said something to someone there? | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I didn't really have a lawyer in mind. I think it is no more then a pulled muscle and I will be pretty stiff and sore for a couple days. But they thought I should have told someone there at Walmart about my fall just in case. | | | Pete |

Not just for your sake...they should, at the very least, cover your medical bill...but for the sake of the next poor bloke that may have followed you down the aisle. I used to work in the service industry...retail, food service, etc...and I would want to know if something like that happened. If they are like most department stores, they have video surveillance, so you should be on tape somewhere. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Maybe I should call Walmart and let them know about it.
But honest I am not looking to sue anyone or anything like that. I really think I will be just fine in a day or so. I think it is just a basic pulled muscle. | | | Pete |

Wow, I never realized that the Peter Serafinowicz sketches involving Butterfield were based on a real person. He was dead-on in that impersonation. |

I am not even 100% sure there was flour on the floor... my brother said he thought he saw some... but I also saw they were buffing the isle on the next isle over... so it could have been from that. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I called and let them know about it. Told them I am stiff and sore... but that is really it at this point and that I will see how I feel in the morning. But I am not expecting anything or nothing like that. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I really dislike shopping at Wal-Mart anymore. I've nearly fallen on their floors a number of times, because they've been WET from those floor cleaners having gone by. And they don't put up any "Wet Floors" signs where they should, so unless you're looking at the floor closely, you won't know. I won't even mention how I was in the store when there was a fire recently, and they actually blocked customers from going out the front doors, breaking a number of fire codes. The Supercenter here is basically a joke. I would have told them about it too Pete. | | | Corey |
