| | Posted: | | | | I'm getting sick of this crap. Every Star Wars movie has at least two versions. I'd love to see it Blade Runner-style with every version and include classic making of material like "From Star Wars to Jedi," but I don't want to sit around wondering if it will be changed for the worse and I'll be denied the better version again. |

I have learned to take a different view of all of this since GL is not alone in this little game, just perhaps the most visible outside of Cameron. I view each release (this does not mean each and every release for every film) as an issue of history and deal with them from that perspective. Yes, that means I have a sizable number of "duplicates" but for those films that fall into that heading for me, it is simply history. I have each release of Star Wars dating back to the first Pan & Scan Laserdiscs, they all share a particular place in the history and evolution of the film to what it is today.

| | Posted: | | | | After the ruined lightsaber effects of the 2004 DVD edition I'm not very excited, until Lucas decides to correct/revert these. I can life with the 1997 special editions, even when I would prefer the original versions, but the 2004 edition was no fun watching (at least for me).  |
