| Posted: | | | | It seems once again i was having this debate with someone why America seems to make one type of cheese and it's more orange than my hair and tastes more plastic than a DVD. Seriously Wtf? This is how cheese should look. And if any one wonders what the blue stuff is it fungus that helps mature it. |

And if any one wonders what the blue stuff is it fungus that helps mature it. That is not true! America makes four kinds of cheese. |

Don't eat a DVD now You could try a blu-ray instead - but this might have much more calories than a dvd?! | | | Thorsten |

| Posted: | | | | Again to prove you have no clue Here is a catskill cheese from upstate New York, made with goats milk And a Rouge River Blue Cheese fro Oregon (northwest US), made with Cows milk A Manchester from Vermont, from goats milk A 2 year Shelburne Cheddar from vermont, Cows Milk An Artesnal Cheddar, from vermont, Cows Milk And of course, from Kraft Velveeta, which is good for a lot of things There are many award winning cheeses that are made here in the US. If you would go to your grocer, you could probably find some of them. Sorry another, thing that the US does very well.... Charlie |

| Posted: | | | | And more 1. Purple Haze, from Cypress Grove Chevre in California 2. Pleasant Ridge Reserve, from Uplands Cheese Company in Wisconsin 3. Bayley Hazen Blue, from Jasper Hill Farm in Vermont 4. Barely Buzzed, from Beehive Cheese Co. in Utah 5. Green Hill, from Sweet Grass Dairy in Georgia 6. Red Hawk, from Cowgirl Creamery in California We make cheeses all over this country.. Why do you think we do. America has artisan roots from all over the world From the carpenters in germany (Some wonderful food too) to wine makers fro france cheese makers from all over the world. America is not as backward as you would make us out to be. In general, America has the best (and the worst) in traditions from all over the world. These crafts have been incorprated into our society. Even when the vineyards in France were destroyed, it was grape plant startings from Missouri that helped restart the wonderful vineyards in France. So please, before you put the US down, trust me, we have a do make most products in the US. Charlie |
