Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 2
Surprise & Innocence
Drusilla reassembles the Judge, an unstoppable demon; Buffy and Angel consummate their relationship.

My Thoughts:
The first Birthday episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a 2-part episode. And I think it is safe to say my favorite of the Buffy's Birthday episodes. What with it happening in season 2 (one of my favorite seasons of the series)... at the very beginning of what is probably my favorite Buffy storyline (Evil Angel). Naturally since it is a 2-part episode... there was no way I could only watch the first half.

My Rating: 5/5

Charmed: Season 1
Dead Man Dating
Prue tries to avoid a birthday celebration as Piper befriends and saves the restless soul of a ghost who was murdered by a gang leader. The sisters save his soul and learn a valuable life lesson.

My Thoughts:
This one was another really good episode. One that deals with ghosts. I especially liked it since it was a big Piper episode. I also liked the way they put some Chinese folk lore into the story line for this one. This episode remains one of my favorites. Not only do we have Pru's birthday in this episode... but also the ghost's birthday is talked of in the beginning of the episode.

My Hero: Season 1
The Party's Over
It's Janet's birthday but an earth girl turning the big 3-0 means nothing to an Ultron male. Janet doesn't want to discuss it, so George turns to his cousin for advice.

My Thoughts:
This is a sitcom from the UK. One I get a kick out of what with being a fan of sitcoms as well as superhero shows. This episode had a few laughs for me. Though I must admit that not being used to watching shows from the UK there is still some slang and words that we don't use here in the US that I didn't get. So I probably would have had a couple more laughs if I understood it all completely. I also wish there was more episodes to a season/series. I guess I am spoiled by having between 13 and 24 episodes here. A season/series with only 6... that continued for years... just seems a little strange to me. Here in the US we only have the first two seasons... sure would like to see more released over here.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 3
Helpless
Buffy feels weak and is unable to carry out her duties as a slayer. When she goes to Giles for help he seems distracted. This is because he is, on the orders of the Watcher's Council, preparing her for the Cruciamentum, a test the Watchers put each slayer through on her eighteenth birthday. She must be weakened and left alone to beat a vampire, to test her resourcefulness.

My Thoughts:
This is another great episode of Buffy. One I have enjoyed quite a bit every time I seen it. Though I must say it doesn't live up to the season 2 birthday episode... though it is close. I thought the test they put Buffy through was an entertaining idea. I must admit the first time I watched this episode I was pretty pissed at Giles myself.

yes... it is on the 31st. But I watch Birthday episodes of TV Series the entire week before.

Plus next weekend... I plan on doing something with movies involving birthdays somehow  for next weekend's marathon. Still working all that out though.

Adventures of Superman: Season 1
The Birthday Letter
Superman is implicated in the abduction of a young girl who is thought to have information concerning hidden counterfeit plates.

My Thoughts:
I always enjoyed this episode. I especially enjoyed the ending where Superman is flying the crippled little girl around the city. But how times have changed! The idea of a cripple child staying home by herself during the day is unheard of now! That would be a good way to get into some serious trouble. And here when this show was made ('50s) they acted like it was no big deal at all. I also got a kick out of when Superman shows up at the girl's home... she is sitting there reading a Superman comic book.

I Love Lucy: Season 6
Lucy and Superman
Lucy promises Little Ricky that Superman (George Reeves) will be at his birthda party, but when it looks like he can't make it, she tries to fill the bill herself.

My Thoughts:
I Normally like to watch my DVD sets in order... but I decided to make an exception to this one since I have already seen every episode of I Love Lucy ever made. This has always been one of my favorite episodes of I Love Lucy. I guess this is because I also always been a fan of Adventures of Superman. It really is a hilarious episode. My favorite line in this episode is the very last in the episode...

Ricky: In all the 15 years we been married this is the craziest stunt you ever pulled!
Superman: Wait a minute, you been married to her for 15 years?
Ricky: Yeah, 15 years!
Superman: And they call me Superman!

Three's Company: Season 1
Roper's Niece
Mr. Roper's niece is visiting, and he doesn't want her to leave the house. He asks Jack (whom he thinks is gay) to take her out so that she'll be safe with him. Meanwhile, it's Janet's birthday, and Jack spends all night with the niece.

My Thoughts:
This is a fun episode. There is a few good laughs in it. Of course this is Three's Company so there is the misunderstanding as there is in what seems like every episode. And then ends with Jack giving Janet the perfect birthday gift. Definitely a good episode... but I have seen better.

My Rating: 3.5/5
