Is this set really complete?
Does it contain the contents of previous sets/titles such as "Benny Hill`s World Tour - New York (1991)", "The Lost Years", "The Hill's Angel Years" or "The Naughty Early Years"?
Is the megaset the most complete one available?
I've been told it doesn't contain the 1977 Australian special "Benny Hill Down Under". Also, can anyone verify the following?
If you believe that UNRATED and UNADULTERATED labels on your DVD purchases will bring you the complete and unedited versions of the original BENNY HILL SHOWS then be prepared to be disappointed. Shame on A&E and others for selling me a severely edited version of one of my favorite shows of all time. Where's the naughty bits??? Must have lost those on the cutting room floor. Feel free to watch this edited version with the kids because they removed the "adult" from "unadulterated" and so now you can play these at your local church social without hardly raising an eyebrow. Poor Benny will be rolling over in his grave.

From dvdtalk.com It was a long wait for DVD fans looking to revisit the comedy of Benny Hill, as for a long time there were just two compilations, Golden Greats (August 2001) and The Best of Benny Hill (July 2001), available to satisfy them. Then, from 2004 to 2007, A&E Home Video stepped in and released six volumes of complete episodes, covering the comic's years at Thames Television, while Benny Hill: The Lost Years (2005) filled in the blank spots, providing further unseen material.
From wikipedia: In 2004, the same year Benny Hill started airing on BBC America (originally in two half-hour shows), the Thames specials began to appear uncut on Region 1 DVD sets for the U.S., by A&E Home Video, entitled Benny Hill: Complete And Unadulterated. Unlike the UK sets, each set package represents multiple years of the shows in order of the original airings, with Benny Hill Trivia Challenges, a booklet, and extras:
* Benny Hill Complete and Unadulterated: the Naughty Early Years set 1 (11 episodes from 1969 to 1971)
* Benny Hill Complete and Unadulterated: the Naughty Early Years set 2 (10 episodes from 1972 to 1974)
* Benny Hill Complete and Unadulterated: the Naughty Early Years set 3 (10 episodes from 1975 to 1977)
* Benny Hill Complete and Unadulterated: the Hill's Angels Years set 4 (10 episodes from 1978 to 1981)
* Benny Hill Complete and Unadulterated: the Hill's Angels Years set 5 (9 episodes from 1982 to 1985)
* Benny Hill Complete and Unadulterated: the Hill's Angels Years set 6 (8 episodes from 1986 to 1989)
In total, all 58 episodes of the Thames years of TBHS are showcased in the collection.
As for his BBC works, roughly half of the total shows he did for them still exist. The best of the surviving editions were released on Region 1 DVD by Warner Home Video in 2005 under the title Benny Hill: The Lost Years, and contain sketches originating from shows that first aired between 1958 and 1968.
It is unknown if any collections of his various specials will be released. |

Correct: I own this set also, each of the six sets (volumes) contain three discs. I have each set and their discs profiled, but never submitted them, but you can look at all 25 profile by viewing my on-line DB and using your browser edit find Benny Hill. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.
