| | Posted: | | | | Would you buy TV series Blu-ray's that contained standard definition material (DVD quality) to save on shelve space or for convenience (entire season on one disc, no changing disc's to access an episode), for example Friends complete Box Set is on 40 DVDs if it was on Blu-ray you could have it on 10 disc's (assuming it's possible to get an entire season on 1 disc?) |

| | Posted: | | | | To explain the "other"-vote: If there is no HiDef Version of the TV show, and theres no chance it will come in the not so distant future, i would say yes, but if there is a HD version, i couldn't watch it in SD. Once i tasted HD, there was no way back  space saving or no disc-changing isn't that intereseting to me...i don't have 1000 minutes time to watch a TV-Show-Season in one go often.  Regards Stefan |

I can see the appeal of having shows take up less space on the shelf, but I think I wouldn't be able to bring myself to spending Blu-ray money on a set that has only SD content. | | | Blu-ray collection

For example: I'd rather pay 6€ for a one-watch chick flick on DVD rather than 16€ for the same movie on Blu-ray. | | | Karsten

| | Posted: | | | | I wish they had always released TV sets in the plastic cases like the Blu Ray cases or the regular DVD cases. I know they are box sets but it gets really annoying when cardboard box sets always get dinged up and wrecked. Plastic cases can last forever if you take care of them. Plus shelf space is saved considerably with plastic cases. |

One thing to remember is that even if it is SD resolution the higher bit rate allowed by DB can be an improvement by itself over what can be done on DVD depending on the source material. I do wish media companies would do this for older shows that do not have HD source available.
That said if HD sources and master exist then I see no reason to not buy native HD release. |

I'm not the TV show freak so I'll go the cheaper (til now DVD) way, but if the prices get the same I would do all in blu. |
