Recently download BookDB2 to catalogue my book collection. It is freeware program. Not happy with it. Would really appreciate any suggestions on a good book catalogue system.

I've also been pleased with Library Thing.
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

I used Data Crow - totally free as well.

Alternatively you could check out MediaMan but it's expensive.

Ken....CD/Book/Game (console & board) Profilers would make you a mint...with little simple changes to field names/functions (IMO).

Agreed,
especially with a slightly different licensing model (pay again for major upgrades).
Pretty soon you'd be able to buy Greece, California or a new car (should all cost about the same).
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

No one has mentioned Book Collector...at collectorz.com.  It's the one I use, but not something I really love but when I looked into book programs, it is the one that had the most of what I was looking for.  You do have to pay for major upgrades which seem to take place often...they also do comic, dvd, and cd collecting as well.

I've heard of people doing this with a customised translation file. Maybe if someone's already done it for books they could share the file.
