Same.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Here is my name, Kevin Bechaz. Request to add me if you like, whether I accept or not is another question. If I do accept, try to at least make an effort to have regular conversation or I’ll simply delete you. I've done it to members of my own family so I won't think twice about it.

I have developed one good friend on facebook from this forum, and am friends with a few others. Nearly 250 friends there, some are relatives, others are true friends, many are people I met while working in the music and comic book industries. Many of you can find my name and request friendship. I have no agenda other than sharing good stuff. It's too easy to laugh at silly ideas, and revel in mind blowing thoughts. And hear about what you are doing and what are your concerns in life... like a less formal version of the General Discussion forum.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

She grew up in a bigger city, and was more friendly in high school. so she REALLY knows those people in real life. me i only signed up because she did. the majority of my "friends" are people i work or have worked with or went to school with. it really is quite dumb. "look where i went for vacation" WHO CARES!! really if my kids were old enough (5,3 and 1) they would be my only friends!

The vacation one cracks me because if your advertising your going on vacation and have your wall open for the whole of the internet to view your just asking to be robbed.

Facebook has provided many a laugh

I don't mean to sound like an unfriendly person but I just don’t want to be one of those people who add people just for the sake of it. I want legitimate/real friendships. I like this forum very much; they’re a lot of nice people here

My Father created an account for my mother so she could keep in touch with family but neither of them has been on since.

Research has shown that the human brain can only keep about 150 people in mind and remember the relationship between them and everyone else.

What's this 'facebook'? Could you provide a link or an URL, please?

TBH, those are mostly the type of people i'm interested in facebook. The people i wouldnt bump into in my everyday life. I originally signed up to see people from an international school i went to when i was 6-8 yo. Turned out that like 80% of my classmates used facebook and seem to live now all over the world. And my then bestfriend apparently lives in the same city as i do these days. I'm not really interested in reunions or anything, just nice to see where people ended up in and how their doing these days.
