| | Posted: | | | | Today the first DVD I ever purchased, the DVD I purchased way back in spring of 1997, the DVD I purchased when the world (of digital video) was new and 480P was the pinnacle of perfection, the DVD that I purchased aproximately 20 minutes before I dropped $700 on my very first DVD player, has been finally been retired and replaced by its Blu-ray successor.
