Often I add not just for the common name a headshot, but alos for the variants. (For users "don't interested" in linking, for the possibility the common name changes, ...)
At a headshot contribution I add those variants in the post.

Local I add a small "NC" (for "not common") at the bottom left of the headshot of the not common name. Helps me finding profiles which have not included the linking to the common name for a correction.

Of course, if the common name changes, I have to change the headshots also.

Would it be Ok, to add this hint also to the contributed headshots? Or would this be an absolute No Go for you?

I can't speak for anyone else, but personally I don't always use the Invelos common name.  Too often the Invelos common name sets up a conflict with another actor that can't adequately be resolved with BY.  In many cases, I've created my own common name.  Besides keeping track of all that, I'd now have to slug my way through the actors table trying to identify the proper image and move it into place.

For the record: every one of those conflicts can be resolved by birth years. Often fake ones, of course, but the wonderful thing of those fake birth years is that they're automatically excluded from contributions (just don't check the box). So while their usage doesn't hurt the abillity to easily contribute in any way, it does stop you from having "to slug your way through the actors table trying to identify the proper image and move it into place."

Thanks to all.

The poll is clear, I won't include anything additional, just the pic.
