| Posted: | | | | I voted NO on a cover scan. It wasn't an improvement over the existing IMO and this is what I got via PM: Quote: Thanks for the laugh you gave me regarding YELLOW TINGES on the Black Hole dvd cover, the fact the back cover now is totally legible seems not to matter to you. Yellow Tinges? lol, I wish I had so little in my life I had to worry about such tiny things, how tragic. I realise I'm probably overreacting; but I found this PM insulting. It's people like this that make me very glad I decided to stay away from this place...and as a result I'm not even going to bother voting anymore: it's just not worth the effort when stupid, insulting, people respond in this manner. |

| Posted: | | | | Although I've not cut back as much as you have, I have severely reduced the amount of time I spend posting/voting/contributing here for pretty much the same reasons. While the majority of people here are great, it is the few who really ruin this place and create the toxic environment that we've all come to know.
I really can't understand the contributors hostility here. A colour cast correction is a relatively simple thing to do with most software packages and could be fixed in next to no time. |

| Posted: | | | | I went to check out this back cover and and i don't see what's so eligible about the synopsis on it. It's as clear as day nothing wrong with the current scan. |

| Posted: | | | | I have never understood why people find it necessary to be rude or unkind to another. This pm you received from this person was totally uncalled for and should not have been sent.
Hopefully they will read the forums and see that they owe you an apology.
If not, block them if you want but don't let this person affect you in any way. They are not worth your time or effort.
I do hope you continue to vote and post in the forums. Your opinions are important and I have always found them to be interesting and thoughtful. |

| Posted: | | | | This person should be temporary suspended for such an insulting PM. It shows how immature some people are. |

| Posted: | | | | Too bad it isn't as easy to report a PM than reporting a forum post. I have always find the people who send that kind of PM after a "no" vote didn't deserve my time so I don't read the PM.
You could always report it to Ken by PM or by a ticket suport (I think it's faster this way). |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, it's insulting. And the only time I have received similar PM's was when voting no. I remember vicious insults about my "eyesight" in judging coverscans for example. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | This appears to be the standard at this point. I voted no on a cover scan that was horrible. The stock scans from the website were far superior. This is the PM I received for my vote.
It doesn't matter if the current scans are much nicer, since they are not the actual scans. Also the current scans were pre-release images that have changed. If you don't like them, scan them yourself.
I will even bet the contribution was from the same rude contributor. |

| Posted: | | | | I hate to say it Lord, but he's right. Even craptascular scans have to be voted yes if they replace pre-release cover art.
If I can't bring myself to vote yes for those, I vote neutral and keep and eye out for the download. | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |

Whoever sent you that pm is a huge douche nozzle and should have their contribution and voting privileges suspended if you ask me. It really is sad that a few ruin it for everyone else. There's good bits around these parts, and then there's shiitake mushroom like that... and it's the shiitake mushroom like that that totally outweighs the goodbits. | | | The night is calling.
