| Posted: | | | | This is on in 10 minutes on BBC1 but is anyone else finding it difficult to watch with Claudia Winkleman? It feels so dumbed down and although she knows a little bit more about films than I thought (unless it's scripted for her of course) she is ruining this show. Barry Norman was great and Wossy, although a bit of an idiot at times knew what he was talking about and was also a great host. Was their really no-one else out there other than Winkleman? I wish they had offered it to Kermode but then again, it's a half hour slot so he'd only be able to review one movie a week. |

Wasn't a bad episode tonight, a good interview with Scorsese about the 50th Anniversary of Peeping Tom and a (too short) look at Dino De Laurentis (sp?). |

Im starting to think any channel ending in a 4 is code for not having your intelligence insulated. Channel 4 check and double check as at last they got rid of Big Brother. Divine Mccall can now go take her talentless arse back to what ever French brothel she crawled out from. And good old BBC 4. |

| Posted: | | | | Is sexism so bad in the UK that they actually need a 'token female'? | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

| Posted: | | | | Nope. She seems to be the 'token' female presenter of choice for the BBC right now. The channels here go through stages where it seems like a certain person is presenting all the flagship shows, right now it's Claudia Winkleman. | | | Last edited: by samuelrichardscott |

Don't forget as well Sam there need to shake off the stereotype that there London centric by hiring every numpty with an accent and shoving it down your throat till you vomit. I love CBBC. They seem to have an emphasis on bringing in the most stereotypical inercity black Englishmen they can find.
