I have a lot of box-sets that I bought used, they all have the used stores stickers all over them. I need to find a good way to remove them...

I always use steam to get rid of stickers. It makes the cohesive material dissolve.

Sounds ridiculous, I know, but yeah ... that would do it.
On glossy surfaces, I usually use steam and to remove leftover sticky material, I then use a dry cotton with nail polish remover

I like Goo Gone. Just don't over do it. Sometimes on the glossy stickers, I take the top part off first then soak it with the Goo Gone and the sticky stuff comes right off. Use it on book covers a lot too and never had a problem with it staining.

Though, I admit, I try to use a hair dryer on the sticker first. Probably same concept as the steaming...heats the glue up to make it easier to remove.
