I didn't want to leave the invelos community without saying goodbye. I will still answer my emails and post on the other forum I visit for those that wish to keep in touch.

I'm going to share a support ticket that I have sent to invelos that explains why I have decided to no longer post in the forums or contribute to the database:

"I previously sent a support ticket in the hope that invelos would take action in regards to Skip aka Winston Smith's blatant disregard of the standards and rules that invelos has in place.

Skip had deliberately fabricated data and consciously lied on his contribution notes. When given an opportunity to correct his mistakes, his response was to lash out at other members of the community.

I have not seen any input from invelos in regards to this matter which has prompted me submit this subsequent support ticket.

I was going to write a letter to Ken and Gerri outlining the hundreds of Skip's most offensive comments posted on the forums over the last year.

I had also planned on using Skip's own words to illustrate how this one person negatively impacts not only the community but invelos' reputation.

But, I found so many of his posts objectionable I decided not to waste my time in this endeavor.

All one needs to do is to re-read his many posts, many of which warranted moderation so one is not able to read the most offensive ones.

I would like to point out two that illustrates the hypocrisy Skip shows in the thread posted above.

In researching Skip's posts, I came across one where I accidentally made a mistake in the contribution process. I posted the topic in the forums and corrected my mistake immediately.

Skip's response to me, making an honest mistake,  was to accuse me of "raping the database" and "hijacking" DVDP.

Yet, Skip feels justified in submitting a profile with intentionally incorrect data in which he deliberately fabricated documentation.

Skip's actions makes me wonder whether any data he submitted over the years can be trusted.

While updating a different DVD, from 4 years ago, Skip contributed a profile in which he stated the came from DVD credits. The truth is much of the data appeared to have been mined directly from IMDb.

Skip has devalued the database submitting incorrect data and fabricating documentation.

Even worse, he has put Ken and Gerri at legal risk because of his violation of invelos' rules regarding the use of third party data.

These are just a few reasons that I have decided I will no longer contribute to the invelos database or post on the forums.

Please send this support ticket to Ken and Gerri.

It's called consequences.  Invelos refuses to properly moderate these forums.  This (along with all the others who have left) is the consequence.
