| Posted: | | | | My older daughter and her three daughters (9, 5, and nearly 3) have been living with us since early December, as her husband works for Disney Travel in Anaheim. A rental snafu put them out of a home, so as they save their money for a new place, he rooms with a coworker and the girls are with us. Oh... did I mention she's pregnant? The husband is now here on family paternity leave, and they woke up at 2 am this morning, leaving the three girls with us as they went to the hospital. At 3:55 am, an 8 lb, 9.2 oz, 20.2 inch Dennis Tiberius Ehrichs was born. He ate for three hours and mom and he are doing well. They should come home tomorrow morning. Photo on my Facebook page. Yes, Tiberius. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

| Posted: | | | | Mom and son are home as of 4 pm PDT today, barely more than 36 hours after his birth. He continues to nurse at long length and massive quantities... which leads to many diaper changes. When he opens his eyes, he gets a look of disbelief on his face, and as he blinks it is as if he want to return to a pre-birth environment and is disappointed when reality remains. Yet he is calm and relatively quiet. He finds fingers and thumbs on which to suck (his preference so far is his right pointing finger). His hair and eyebrows and eyes are very much like his father's.
The youngest of his big sisters (she will be 3 at the end of May) refuses to ackowledge his name, stating firmly that his name is Baby Brother. When I talk to him, he seems to like Denny. I don't know if anyone else has called him Denny. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.
