The only thing you can really do is create a local only profile, many of us already do this for custom dvds, like stuff we ripped ourself from laser or VHS, or downloaded stuff not available on legit release. The easiest way to do this is add by disc ID (if burned to a dvd). If not a dvd, then you have to make up a UPC number for it. I started at 000000000001. The program tries to steer me away from using it as it's so obviously wrong, but enter it twice and you can override that.

As for digital copies, don't you have the real dvds or BDs that they came with? If not, just grab one of those profiles and customize locally what you need to. Just don't contribute anything you do custom as it's against the contribution rules. You won't get thanked for the digital copy profile of Batman, you'll get questioned, yelled at, and gerenally treated foul for submitting stuff against the rules. Don't do it and you'll never have to worry.

I've never thought about creating a Custom Category for Digital Copies myself. Since I already own the actual DVD/Blu-ray and I can filter Digital Copy in Features, I never really saw the point. I have over 150 digital copies right now in iTunes. I would have had 210 but I let a lot of them expire before I felt the need to have them. They really come in handy while waiting in the doctor's or dentist's office .

I'm a little confused here . Did you mean Custom Media Category or Custom Collection Category? Creating a Custom Media Category doesn't involve creating profiles, it just adds an icon to an already existing profile like I did for my Blu-ray 3D titles. Whereas creating a Custom Collection Category would add a tab to your Collection window along with All/Owned/Ordered/Wishlist. Then you would create manual profiles to your new Digital Copies collection. What I'd like to see is an additional feature to "Copy to" an existing profile to another Collection, instead of "Move to".

I meant what I said.  A Digital Download movie isn't a DVD or a Blu-ray, so to add it to Profiler one could either call it a DVD/Blu-ray or make a new media category to fit--my suggestion.

A Custom Collection Category might be helpful as well, depending on how the user wants the collection organized.

Yes, I used the wrong name (not having the program in front of me), but that's what I meant.

One thing about adding Custom Collections to the Desk Top version of Profiler is that when uploading to your Online Collection it doesn't include them in your Online Listing. The Online Collection is in serious need of an upgrade. This has been promised for years but to date... .
