Friday 2:00 AM, 
Finished watching a Sherlock Holmes on blu-ray,
Watched the 2:00 AM news,
3:00AM bed time.
Listen to sports scores,
3:30 AM feeling a pressure in my chest,
Recognized the simpletons, Heart attack,
No time to waste,
Grabbed phone and insurance card,
Called 911 as I was going out the door,
ER fast response, just around the corner about 3 blocks down the street,
Just like on TV connect to all the machines and sending a strip to the hospital.
5:00 AM operation over, 2 stints
IN my in intensive care, hooked up to all kinds of wires,
Didn't get much sleep, keep knocking the wires loose.
the rest of the day spent with a varying number of heath care workers,
Saturday:
more of the same, scan of the heart, as a result of the fast reaction on all involved no damage to the heart,
Call to a friend to take me home, he had been notified when I intered the hospital as a name you call in case of an emergency.
Get to go home. more consulting and paper work. At home by 3:00 PM Saturday.
It pays to have your ducks in order, least when an emergency occurs.

Friday afternoon, home from work at about 16:00, I exercised for about an hour, went shopping, visited my brother, bought kebab on the way home, surfed the internet, watched an episode of House M.D. Season 5, went to bed at about 22:00 and listened to Deutschlandradio Kultur til I fell asleep.

Saturday morning, free weekend, stood up at about 07:30, made coffee and watched the Rango BD, then breakfast, surfing the internet, watching The World Championships in Athletics live from South Korea, left the house to buy Bitburger Pils, drove to one of my running tracks from which I did not have a GPS track yet, probably motivated by Usain Bolt in the 100 m heats jogged the 9 km in personal best time, happy back home, surfed, prepared meat and drank beer, watched an episode of House M.D. Season 5, went to bed at about 22:00 and read c't til I fell asleep.

Sunday morning, stood up at about 07:30, made coffee and watched the A Perfect Getaway BD, Milla does not show her nipples in this, had breakfast, surfing, watching The World Championships again, the 10.000 m are on...

As for my weekend...

Friday, woke up, got ready, dropped Moira off at work, went to work.  Arrived early.  Fell asleep in car.  Was almost late.  Worked shift.  Left work.  Picked Moira up from work.  Picked up dinner at Qdoba.  Went to friends house.  Ate dinner.  Played GURPS for three hours.  Drove home.  Went to bed.

Saturday, woke up late, groggy, ate breakfast, got ready, went to work.  Got off work.  Went home.  Took nap.  Got up.  Ate dinner, watched a disc of "Good Eats" on my DVD player.  Went back to bed for the night.  After 10 days with no off day, I've been exhausted (as if it couldn't be told by the falling asleep in the car on Friday).

Today, Sunday, woke up.  Plans are to eat breakfast, take shower, bag up recycling, haul empty DVD cases to storage unit, straighten up shelves, vacuum floor in bathroom, go to Kroger, go to friend's house for magick, have dinner, possibly watch something at some point, maybe play a bit more of "Baldur's Gate II" and eventually go back to bed.

It's good to hear you're going to be alright Srehtims. My father just recently had another heart attack and had 2 more stints put in...he's 75 now. His first was about 20 years ago where he had a stint put in. Unfortunately heart disease runs in my family and with my diabetes and high blood pressure I have to be very, very careful. I just turned 52 yesterday and your thread was another reminder that life is so precarious. Time to make sure my little duckies are in order .

Friday: Took a vacation day to spend some "quality time" with my 19 year old son who is living with me at the moment and was his day off work. Did some grocery shopping. Played some MW2: Zombies with my son on PS3...there's that "quality time" I was talking about . Watched an episode of NCIS: Season 8. Went to the movies at 9:20 pm and watched Guillermo del Toro's "Don't be Afraid of the Dark" with son. Turns out he only Executive Produced the film and it was obvious he didn't Direct. A word of advice...don't waste your time or money on that one...boring . I was once again reminded why I hate going to the theater: People wouldn't shut up and idiots in front of me and to the left of me on their Cell Phones...texting...screens lit up the area around me...very distracting   . Got home around midnight. Was getting ready for bed when the earthquake struck...a nice 4.8 shaker that seemed to go on forever. Scared the pants off my son. He's from Madrid, Spain...so he's not used to earthquakes here in California. Only casualty was a mug that fell of a shelf and shattered on the floor.

Saturday: Birthday today...just another day at the ranch. Up at 6:30am...coffee. Did some Cast & Crew on a couple of titles in DVD Profiler...contributed. At 3:10pm drove my son to work. Watched some episodes of NCIS: Season 8. At 9:10pm picked my son up from work. Cooked him dinner and watched another episode of NCIS: Season 8. Went to bed at 11:00pm.

Sunday: Up at 6:30am...coffee maker is on the fritz . Had to pour water manually into the filter and let it drip then heat it up in the microwave. Did another Cast & Crew in Profiler and contributed. Had breakfast...oatmeal with a sliced banana. Almost 11:00am now and my son is still sleeping . In a few minutes will go to Target to get a new Coffee Maker.

Glad you are ok. I spent yesterday and today sitting out Irene. It rained since yesterday and it looks like upstate NY is under water. They closed all roads in my county an hour ago. The gilboa dam is 8 feet over flood level and they are evacuating all towns in the area. Thank god I am living an extra 600 feet above the valley of Schoharie.

How i imagine most of the east coast of America spent it's weekend 

Spent the weekend watching the storm and preping for a Colonoscopy - which now by comparison seems like child's play.

Glad you had the presence of mind and other factors that contributed to your survival. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
