Sad day for most .., Bit surprised at CNN though; I first heard the news locally here on the radio/TV in the first few minutes of airplay.. turned over to CNN and for over two hours they never even mentioned it.... I had the news on in the background behind my shoulder the whole time.,, I guess they don't figure a Russian sports/airdisaster story of any interest...... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | Yeah, I saw it on FoxNews (it was the lead story around noon). It really hits us here in Philly because the head coach that died was ex-Flyer defensemen Brad McCrimmon, part of the great '80s teams. My love of hockey started during that era. It's really a terrible, horrible event.
Hockey has been hit all summer with tragedy, with the deaths of current players Derek Boogard and Wade Belak as well. |

| Posted: | | | | It made the headlines of the German papers and webpages too. One of the players was German. NHL.com has it on the front page, plenty of former NHL players were on that flight. The most known one would be probably Pavol Demitra. |
