There was a version that had 'poor' packaging in the sense that it was orginal and cool-looking, but discs aren't very well tucked in. That is this version, the one I also have: However, I've watched the entire series and didn't find any problem with audio, video or mastering issues. Audio is great: HD sound and nice surround effects. Video is spot on, if you take into account the fact that the series purposely looks grainy (as Ron Moore also confirms in his interview: it's done on purpose to reinforce the atmosphere) This new packaging was released because people complained about the discs not being housed well in the original. I fixed it by buying replacement 5 & 6 disc Blu-ray cases, printing my own covers and storing them in those. Hope you have enough info with that |
