| Posted: | | | | The more I watch in the I, II, III, IV, V, VI order it seems to gel much better. Having them finally in one beautiful Blu set makes it so much easier to enjoy. I'm still having a hard time accepting the 30 year fuzzy gap in storytelling between III and IV. |

Then watch "The Empire Strikes Back" in an edition without CGI.
Then see them add all kinds of stupid cute to a non-CGI version of "The Return of the Jedi."
Then watch "Star Wars" again and leave the rest to forgotten history. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

| Posted: | | | | I've tried to watch them I-VI, but the technology used to create I-III takes away from IV-VI, so I always watch them IV, V, VI, I, II, III. It works for me as I know the whole saga anyway. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. | | | Last edited: by mreeder50 |

| Posted: | | | | I watched them in order I - VI in 2008, but for the Blu-Ray set I switched back to IV - V - VI - I - II - III.
I has the advantage that the weakest parts (VI en I) are in the middle. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

I've watched I, II and III once, and that's quite enough. IV, V and VI are in another league! | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | I've never watched all six films in close sequence. The last time however, I watched I, II, III & IV. Episode I was worse than I remember and III was better but I don't think I'll revisit them anytime soon. The pull just isn't there anymore, not even for the original trilogy. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | I love Star Wars, but I am not smart enough to answer this poll. Someday maybe I will focus on all these fine points and sit down with the DVD/BD and VCR and see if I can follow ... | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | If I were to show them to someone new to the series, like say if I had kids, I would go IV, V, VI, I, II, III. The other order loses the impact of Luke finding out about Vader. It's likely the order I'll watch them in as well when I get around to it. I've seen the original trilogy more than once (I have the DVD editions with the theatrical cuts on them, and that's what I watch when I want to see them). I saw Phantom Menace, but never got around to the other 2 prequels, despite owning them for several years on DVD (before recently picking them up on blu ... and no, still haven't watched them). | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |
