Is there a way to generate a report of database items which are missing info? i.e. I'd like to generate a report that shows me only DVDs which are missing a cover scan, or DVDs that don't have an overview, or don't have a run time entered.

For that sort of things, I use the Database Query pluggin. You could find it here:
