| | Posted: | | | | Once again UCLA students are getting together to raise funds for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Project Kindle, OneHeartland, and the UCLA AIDS Institute. They pledge to stay on their feet for 27 hours (and often dance during that time); they want the world to give financial support. This year will be my youngest daughter's final year at Dance Marathon... she is on the organizing committee, arranging for celebrities, DJs, singers and bands to appear and encourage the students. | | Posted: | | | | Durning her freshman year, she set her goal at $250. Sophomore year at $500; junior year was $750. This, her final year, she set her goal at $1,000, which is the cost of sending one child to the pediatric AIDS summer camp. So far each year she has succeeded in surpassing her goals. I hope more here will join in with the smallest donation so she meets the goal this year, too.

So I'm an anarchist, deal with it. Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted... |
