The British X rated cut of The Devils will be released in the UK by the BFI. On March the 19th. It's possible it might not sell to well, and go out of print. Or the distribution rights are lost. So best to import this one as soon as possible if your interested.

Same here. I'm getting tired of waiting for Warner to release it here...and knowing them it would be a M.O.D. DVD-R release if they ever do.

Is it just coincidence that a government group in the UK shares the same acronym as a garbage collection company here in the States?

The BFI isn't a government group, it's a charity by royal commission which owns the world's largest film archive, owns a cinema and an IMAX, prints a magazine called Sight and Sound and of course is a renowned distributor. All profits made by the BFI is put into the preservation of film, and access of film. They are also now responsible for all lottery funding that would have previously gone to the UK Film Council.

Even the late director Anthony Minghella was the boss of the BFI for a few years.

The BFI is something that makes me extremely proud to be British.

I find it funny that Americans call there buttocks a fanny. Where as over here it's a slang name given to the female genitalia

Maybe my grandparents called it a fanny, but, man, I haven't heard that term in forever. Plenty of other terms, but that's not one that's popular at all.

I always thought it was a UK term for it.

I haven't heard anyone call their butt a "fanny" since I was a kid. Possibly my grandmother was the only person I've ever heard use the term. If it's still used as a slang term in the USA it must be exceedingly rare.

My Godparents did have an afghan dog named Fanny...but as far as I know they didn't name it after their buttocks.

As a general term, maybe, but am I wrong in saying they call the pouches on a belt "Fanny packs"?
It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong

Probably yes, but most people who wore those back in the day didn't wear them on their butt. They wouldn't be the first fashion trend to use an out of date slang word.

The movie "Robots" has a character with a huge derrière named Aunt Fannie, and much is made of the aptness of her name.  I think many folks know the term, even if they don't use it regularly.  (And the filmmakers apparently thought so, too.)
