Last night I got 14 right out of 24 .. my 2 major misses  were director and supporting actor and 8  odd ones like foreign / sound mixing/adapted SP/orignal score /documentary short /live action short/ & both music catagorys. .....

Personally, i cant wait to see The Artist, Hugo and ofc George Clooney's movies The Ironlady should be a good one too! Good to see Meryl finally win one again!
Hoped Clooney would win a bit more, bot other then that. Pretty good Oscars this year i think!

I just finished adding the current Filmfare awards (Indian Oscar) to the data for my awards plugin, and I have to admit, that I am way more curious checking out some of the nominees there, than I am about the movies nominated for the Oscars. I even had some of the movies already on my wishlist and now my wishlist has grown even more.

Isn't that why they have the People's Choice, Golden Globes, Critics' Choice, SAG, etc. awards?

I quit going to the movies. So unless they are in my DVD collection (Moneyball, The Help, Rango, Kung Fu Panda 2, Harry Potter..., Bridesmaids) I can't give an honest opinion. Billy Crystal did a better job. Seems to work better with a comedian hosting.
