My boss is trying to remember the name of an old TV show.  It showed on TV in the early 80's.  It may have showed on Nickelodeon or another cable channel, and may have been British.  It was a science fiction show and the villains looked like beach balls (he believes they were actually aliens) and the heroes were all kids.

I don't have a clue, but he would really like to know what it was.

Too recent.  That was produced in 1994.  We're looking for something from the early 80's or late 70's.

I remember a short lived sci-fi series called Automan. But it was a US series, and I don't think it fits your description.

Not a TV show and without kids was the great beach ball alien in Dark Star... Pinback took him on.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Automan was about a AI computer program that became real. Love the show, however short-lived it was.

The above scene is from "The Prisoner" with Patrick McGoohan from 1967.
