Hey folks,

the work is done, here is the release of the new headshots masterdatabase

First I would like to thank Dr. Killpatient for helping me alot with how to do things and Kluge for providing the up-to-date BY list link!

Also a huge thank you to all the contributors (too many to list them all here), who deliver new headshots and correct mistakes!

The database should not contain a single false BY and all the birthyears from the list should be correctly in it. If you spot a mistake, please note it in this thread.

A few words about how I choose which picture to use. I am all about quality, so a high quality picture  that shows a bit more than just the head compared to a very low picture quality headshot, I went for the high quality picture.
I am also not a huge friend of zooming stuff in. If the quality is still good/aceptable I went for the zoomed picture, but sometimes the zoom loses that much quality, that it made no sense for me to go for it.

All mistakes will be collected over the next 2 weeks or so and wil be corrected and then posted in an add-on file

As requested, here are the installation instructions, copied from Dr. Killpatients post of V6:

How to Restore Databases

With DVD Profile running, click on File > Restore Database

In the new window, click the Browse button and navigate to where you saved the dpb files you downloaded and select one.  Then click the Next button.

In the next window, the default option is to review each headshot that differs from the one in your database.  If you prefer to accept all updates without review, change "Let me compare" to "Replace existing".  If you want to only accept headshots that you do not have, change "Let me compare" to "Leave existing".

When restoring the Cast databases, take whatever percentage displayed in the tool bar and multiply it by two.  This is your true progress through the file (50% and up represents crew which are not in the cast db's).

Last thing to say is...enjoy the database

The shield icon has been traditionally used to replace a headshot that is a nude or incorrect and there is no valid headshot available.

Makes it easier to spot when you're scrolling down the list a full speed.
