I also miss clicked on 1 and scored a 26 #27 for me was correct, if they didnt mix them up was it the Give me liberty or give me death question ? Also I would be willing to bet they pulled all the data from wiki as we know how accurate that info can be -R |

| Posted: | | | | #27 is a matter of attributing a line from a book to the real person the character was based on. It's like using Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure to attribute "Party on, dudes!" to Abraham Lincoln. |

While there have been people before Patrick Henry that expressed some of the same sentiment, and others may have said it without it being recorded in history, Patrick Henry expressed this exact statement in the last line of his speech given March 23 1775. Nixon was never impeached (Charge (the holder of a public office) with misconduct.). He actually resigned before the house of reps held hearings on impeachment. Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson were impeached, but when the senate tried the cases, They were e acquitted. Charlie |

It's from a biography of Henry written by William Wirt and published in 1816. There was no record of him having said those words until forty years later. Wirt relied on the recollections of someone who had been there, but likely wrote most of it himself based on a general outline. How well can you remember the specific words of anythign you heard forty years ago and not since? |

While I may not remember everything that I have hear years ago, there are things that I do remember, and who said them. I will not remember full speeches, but may very well remember the sentiment and particular statements.
As far as the transcription, I am sure that a large chunk of it is not word for word, though I would hazard a guess that the meaning is correct. Can you say for sure that he didn't say it?
As far as comparing it to "party on dudes!!!" from a known work of fiction and comparing it to a historical biography was a tad extreme.

I took a best guess instead. History (because it was memorization) was my worst subject in school. It actually wasn't all about a bad memory as it was a bad test taker if that makes sense. Give me the same test via just casual conversation instead of pencil to paper and I always did well.
