| | Posted: | | | | we know that Phyllis was good friends of Bob Hope .. but there were other boyfriends she had in her remaining years . .and one was a gentlemen by the name of Hugh Pickett , who I got to know a little bit ten years ago.., His friend was in the same nursing home as my mother n law ., and one night we got to sit together at a dinner and he was telling us he just got back from LA and the purpose of this trip was a sole visit to Phyllis Diller at her home .. He would fly down to LA at least once a month ,, then straight from the airport to her house for ' tea' as he said ., He then told us what a marvelous woman she was and they had been friends for many decades .. thought of this when heard of her passing ....
