| Posted: | | | | Hello all, I'm looking for a movie that was never released on DVD and was wondering if anyone has converted it to AVI or MP4 video or even has converted it to DVD. I'm looking for a John Travolta movie called "The Experts". Any information would be greatly appreciated. |

| Posted: | | | | Well, there isn't any such title in the online DB in any locality. Removing 'the ' lists a movie and a TV serie 'les experts' but I didn't see Travolta mentioned there. Sure it isn't that movie?
What I found worrying in your post that you're requesting a digital version (AVI, MP4) which AFAIK could only exist as an unlawfully made copy. Certainly if it never appeared on DVD, then it would have to come from a cinema screening. You may want that movie badly, but I think DVDprofiler fora should not be used to request such copies.
If it ever existed on VHS or Laserdisk, any conversion might be legal for the owner's own purpose (depends a bit on the laws of your country), but distribution to someone else is not legal. | | | Eric

| Posted: | | | | If you have amazon Prime... you can watch this movie on Amazon... The ExpertsYou may be able to buy the viewing without Prime as well... didn't really look. But even if you don't have prime... they offer a free 1 month trial. Would be plenty of time to watch the movie. Other then that I agree... not good asking for illegal copies here at this forum. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | This film, as near as i can determine, has never been legally released in any home media format. You might be allowed to create a copy for yourself, and only for you, through amazon prime and you might not. Let' s not keep talking about securing product which ois not legally available, it violates out tos. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | Asking for bootlegs = not good. Letting studios know there is interest in titles = good. If we have to resort to talking about boots to get their attention, then it's not all bad. |

| Posted: | | | | It was released on VHS only. I had a friend who tried to order it off Amazon but was told it was backordered. It is the first movie where John Travolta met Kelly Preston. I'm not trying to bootleg a copy or do anything illegal. I'm sorry if my post came across that way. That was not my intention. |

| Posted: | | | | I don't get the immediate assertion that the OP wanted to do something illegal. (Seems he was confirming this, as I was typing.)
The simple answer to his question is that yes, it is available on Amazon. Period. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting mediadogg: Quote: I don't get the immediate assertion that the OP wanted to do something illegal. (Seems he was confirming this, as I was typing.)... Well, the OP stated there never was a DVD version but at the same time made a call for anyone who had a digital copy. Hard to do, unless you have a bootleg, a digitised copy of a VHS/Betamax you own or a Laserdisc you own. Transferring such a digitised copy to another person would only be legal if the original came with it. (and the laws of the country would allow the making of such a copy, as in allowing for instance a back-up). BTW a VHS copy can be legal if it is recorded from a TV airing of the movie; it need not be a retailed movie. I wrote my first reaction before Pete had found this instance of the movie on Amazon Prime, so couldn't take that one in the response. I've read verdejt's response that he hadn't bad intentions so as far as I'm concerned: case closed. | | | Eric

| Posted: | | | | Agreed. I reacted that way because nowhere does he ask for a copy - just if anybody had done it (answer yes, Amazon), and any information about it (link was provided). All the drama was presumed and unfair to the OP. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |
