| Posted: | | | | Ok, so for the past few times I've started DVD Profiler tonight, it crashes and the only way to get out is to reboot my computer (I can't even manually end it via CTR+ALT+DELETE). I've run the Database Repair Utility but to no avail.
I have no idea what's going on and I have not installed any new plug-ins. Any ideas?
I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit). |

| Posted: | | | | Do you try to kill it via the Applications tab or the Process tab in Task Manager?
And why do you need to kill it if it has crashed? | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Have you tried running it in Diagnostic Mode? Try this a few times.
Hold down the CTRL key before clicking to start up the program, waiting until the "Selective Startup" window appears. Then, choose Diagnostic Startup.
Use it as normal rather than trying to close it right away, and see if the problem stops in this mode.
In the end, it's possible you'll end up having your best luck reinstalling the program, but... we'll see. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

And why do you need to kill it if it has crashed? So what happened was, while I trying to select a title, it would just freeze and I get the Not Responding message, so I tried to kill it via Task Manager and nothing. | Posted: | | | | For future reference: The Task manager has several tabs, one of them is "Processes". There you'll find dvdpro.exe. Right-click and "Kill process".
This should always work.
Trying to close the application in the Application tab is the same as trying to press the X. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

Trying to close the application in the Application tab is the same as trying to press the X. I could've sworn I did it that way, but I'll give it a try later today if it happens again. | | | Last edited: by The Movieman |
