Speaking of Idiots which we often do in this forum.

I was watching The Doctors TV show, more on that later, and after that the news came on (2:00 PM) showing an high speed chase of a stolen min-van. Police originally tried to pull him over, but he took off. And police backed off as they know trying to chase somebody like that usually only leads to disaster.

He was then tacked via police and news helicopters with unmarked cars and pickup trucks keeping their distance, through the streets and highways around and about Phoenix for about an hour and at times at speeds up 80 mph.. Luckily it was after lunch hour and the traffic was light, and those on the road were very, very mindful of his recklessness. He only bumped the rear of a pickup truck as he was all over the place, in and out of traffic, running stop light, making u-turns and cutting people off.

It looked like he was tying to find someplace to bail. But in a desert of Arizona there just isn't that many trees or covered areas to hide. These thing very seldom end without damage or injury, but fortunately after about an hour he stopped and lay-ed down in middle of the street and police immediately surrounded him. The news anchor said she could only remember in some 20 years of one case that the criminal got away and if I remember right that was at night.

You wonder what is going through somebody's mind to try that in this area especially in the day.
