| Posted: | | | | I need help finding the title of an old war movie. I believe the operation is Market Garden. The soldiers parachute in. One trooper gets separated from the others and uses his cricket (piece of folded steel which makes a click sound) because he here someone else. You hear the same sound back and he comes out and is shot by a german trooper. The german then cycles his machinegun and it makes the cricket sound again. The second part of the same scene is a soldier a sargeant I think standing over a dead german general. Another us soldier I think an officer walks up and they start talking the officer then comments the dead generals boots are on backwards. Does anyone know what film this is from? |

| Posted: | | | | A Bridge Too Far, perhaps? | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

| Posted: | | | | Hi, One other interesting thing about the "Longest Day". Jeffrey Hunter's eye was injured by sand when a squib went off near him. His reaction was left in the film and its reality somehow detracted from the "reality" of the rest of the film. Prior to seeing the film I knew that the scene was left in so that probably colored my perception. Jim F. |
