Blu-rays started out +10 years ago, and back then you had some people saying "OMG! The higher quality is amazing!" and others saying, "Eh... I don't see enough of a difference to care. DVD is just fine to me." But now, most people have HD TVs in their homes, Blu-ray players upscale DVDs to some degree, so it's like sneaking slowly away from DVDs even though DVDs are still sold.
Another 10-15 years everyone will be wanting an 80" 4K television because they believe that Blu-ray quality sucks.
(I mean, we already have people who wish their 4" smart phone screen had a resolution higher than DVD quality for crying out loud.) | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

It seems that they have been edited in 4K resolution in Sony’s studios and downscaled to Full HD.
