I should listen to my own advice...

All of a sudden I could not connect from my iOS Profiler to my desktop Profiler. I tried restarting Profiler, restarting my PC, checking IP addresses with ipconfig. No luck...

Then I remembered what I've always said when people are having any kind of strange problems. The first thing to do is - Database Repair.

So I did a repair (even though I hate doing it because it takes about half an hour), and guess what. It fixed the problem. I could have saved myself a lot of bother if I had done that from the start, like I tell others.

I run a database repair every few days just for the heck of it.  It only takes about 2-3 minutes for my DB.

If users feel that they should run database repairs every few days, then to me that shows there are problems with the main application. Users should NOT have to repair their databases regularly.

I can't argue with that.

Gee, I wish I knew how my db got corrupted.
The repair didn't report any errors as far as I could see.
