| Posted: | | | | Yarnell Hill Fire Near PrescottYARNELL, AZ - Nineteen firefighters have died fighting the fast-moving Yarnell Hill Fire, the deadliest wildfire involving firefighters in the U.S. for at least three decades. There has been a 10 year drought here and no natural fires in that area for decades. The forest clutter builds up and fuels the fire and with the shifting winds of the monsoon probably the cause of the firemen getting trapped. Record temperatures though out the Western USA. I knew this was going be a hot summer when high temperature records were set a couple of moths ago. It was 120 degrees a few days ago.
