They haven't even released any season before 7 on Blu-ray yet. And if you count out absolute fan favourites like Star Trek, Friends or Firefly how many shows from the early 2000s or older have really made it to Blu-ray? | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

They at least started with "The Sopranos", but Season 1 seems to be a collector's item nowadays in Germany (€ 99,-) | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Source: Illuminate Hollywood http://illuminatehollywood.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Convert-SD-to-HD-2K-4K-from-original-film.pdfPage 8 shows they worked on 24. Maybe the new masters will first be used for a TV rerun, but I think it's more than likely they will also release them on Blu-ray. And for old shows: Yes, there are way to few releases, but some old stuff made it or is planned: Battlestar Galactica (1978); X-Files (not yet released but work-in-progress); Farscape (ok, does only count half, because it's an upscale, but still an improvement) I still hope for many more. I'd gladly buy complete HD sets of "The Nanny", "Jericho", "The Unit", "Castle", "Babylon 5", "CSI", "Stargate SG-1" and quite some more... | | | Last edited: by SpaceFreakMicha |
