It seems I finally found a good (FREE!) software for playing blu-ray discs on my computer. Months ago I bought a bd-rom mostly to be able to add disc ids to profiles... but every since I been looking for a good free (or very cheap) software to play movies on the computer.

Today I discovered this one...

http://www.leawo.org/blu-ray-player/

It does everything I want it to do... including taking snapshots from the video. The only downside is that I can not use my mouse to make selections on the menus for some reason. But I can use the built in remote just fine.

I only tested this a little with 2 different discs. Does anyone here have any experience with this player? Is it as good as it seems? Or do you know an even better one?

I'm getting a "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" vibe. And I saw this on Download.com:

I don't quite know what to make of that

I saw it available for download on several sires, including C-net and softronic.

However, the mainly positive review at ghacks points out, that the player esrablishes an Internet connection at all times, which shouldn't be necessary. They recommend blocking internet access for the program.

I tried it out but 0/2 on discs including an incredibly cheap Mill Creek release.
