| Posted: | | | | When I read the thread about rescanning your collection I thought that it wouldn't be too hard to write a program for auditing your collection. I'm just curious as to how many people would be interested in such a program.
It should, of course, be able to check off profiles based on UPC so you could use a barcode scanner. But it should also be able to check off profiles manually from a list that was sorted by title or by collection number.
When you're done, the program should show you which profiles that have not been checked off. If you're using a scanner it should also be able to give you a list of UPCs that have been scanned but are not in your local database. If you are auditing manually I guess you would have to make such a list outside of the program.
If you have a large collection that is not sorted by title or collection number, then you would probably want to invest in a cheap barcode scanner, if you don't already own one.
So, any thoughts about such a program? Any takers?
EDIT: I just saw that Karsten has already done a DVD Inventory program, so I guess this would not be necessary, | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar | | | Last edited: by GSyren |

You're C# and WinForms, I'm VB and WPF. It's probably easier for me to roll my own, if I should give it a try. I'll take a look at it, though. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |
