I have been trying like crazy since seeing Infinity War in theaters to remember the callback in the movie that reminds me of something that I have seen before. There is a scene in Avengers: Infinity War where Gamora stabs Thanos in the neck and chest, he questions, "Why?" and then collapses on the ground. This is reminding me of a movie and I can't think of the title. All my memory can recall is that I believe it was a similar situation in that the stabbee knows the stabber closely and genuinely is surprised by what happens. Can anyone think of this movie? |

It was either Netflix "The 100" or Hunger Games, or there was one other in my mind ...
She stabbed him in the neck, I think with a weapon he gave her (???). Does that ring any bells? | | | Thanks for your support.

| | Posted: | | | | Thanks for the help, folks. As I am typing out my thoughts in reply, I think you guys have jogged my memory. The context is what was throwing me off. I was thinking it was dramatic like in Infinity War, but the more I think about it, I think its a comedy. I believe the movie I am thinking of is The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!  The scene is where Drebin is talking in the police lab with Ted and Ed. Ted shoots a cufflink tranquilizer at Ed's neck. He grabs at his throat, utters "Why?" and drops to the floor.
