So the title is my dilemma.  Old laptop HD throwing up BSOD's.  Replaced HD with new one, kept the old drive.  Why?  Because I was able to cherry-pick alot of files off of it.  Now I have a docking station I bought, and I can salvage aLOT more than I did by hand when I was still working off the old HD (in between BSOD's).  No more BSOD's now, and it looks like most info wasn't affected (that I've noticed).

My question:  I could download my online collection I guess and use that with my newly installed DVD Profiler on my new HD.  But I need to know if pulling a directory off the partially-toast former HD would be light years quicker? 

For instance: for Firefox browser, you can either export your user profile, or you can just save a specific directory of it on your HD instead.  Both ways work.  Is there a directory containing all my 'stuff' on my old HD that I can basically just 'move' onto the new HD and into the new install of DVD Profiler??  OS is still Win 7-64bit.

On another note, I see a fair amount of people wondering if this company is still functioning.  I'd also like to know thoughts on that, as yes...I see plenty of old dates on this website now.  A bit disturbing.  Is anyone moving their lists to another database program...'just in case' DVD Profiler is shut down?  I'm not assuming DVD Profiler is the Titanic.  Just would like a backup plan, just in case.
