I would like to get rid of this window, but I do not remember how to do this (registry key, I think)...

I wouldn't mind getting rid of the window as well.

And no, Invelos.  My profiles don't need a refresh.  Leave me alone.

The Six Million Dollar Man: The Complete Series

Does it contain the movies that came before the actual series?

Season 1, Disc 1 contains the original broadcasts for all 3 TV Pilot Movies.  Seasons 1, Disc 6 contains the syndication versions for all 3 TV Pilot Movies.

(My online profile for the "Pilot TV Movies and Season 1" can be viewed here.)

On a related note...
Just for fun I reauthored all the discs for Season 1 as I didn't really care for the menus and functionality provided.  Season 1 turned out so well I'm going to re-author the remaining seasons as well.  I posted screenshots of the Blu-ray menus here for anyone who would like to check them out.

Just contribute the child profiles which make up your boxsets using the UPC's if present or Disc ID's if needed.  Users that download those profiles can create their own boxsets if they want.  It's not exactly rocket science.  If it's that important to you that people have access to your parent profiles then backup the profiles and make them available for download.

We can continue using this software whether Invelos.com and its online database exist or not.  Invelos.com could close its doors tomorrow.  I don't need to download profiles from the Invelos online database.  I don't need to backup my collection at Invelos.com or have Invelos.com host an online version of my database.  I'm perfectly content to add profiles locally, backup my database locally and host my own online collection.  There's no online activation when going to install the software and enter my registration key and I'll always have a local backup of the required files needed in order to access the "DVD\Add to Collection..." option in the event I've performed a fresh install and find that Invelos.com is not available.  The beauty of this software is the fact you aren't tied at the hip to some online server as you are with My Movies for example.  I'm still using the original DVD Profiler database I created back during the early years of the DVD format.  Talk about standing the test of time.  To each his own naturally, but I won't be looking for a new solution if/when Invelos.com is no more.  Twenty years from now I'll still be using this software to catalog my DVD's and Blu-ray's.  Well, God willing.  Tomorrow is promised to no one after all.

And here's the Blu-ray cover art I worked up for "Red Eye" some time back after authoring the AmazonPrime stream to Blu-ray.  Feel free to download a copy if you like.

A little story related to the Invelos.com outage...
I was adding a new profile to my phpdvdprofiler based website the other day. After completing the update my website wouldn't load the right pane anymore. I spent a couple hours troubleshooting the issue only to discover that it was due to the Invelos.com website having gone offline which I wasn't aware of at the time. Obviously that defeats the whole purpose of hosting my own online collection.  Doh!  I've since corrected the issue, so I guess I have Invelos to thank.

You see, some time ago I updated the way the cover thumbnails populate in the right pane. Originally my website would look to see if I had uploaded a copy of the given thumbnail to my web space. If so, it would display it. If not, it would display an "image not available" graphic. It still works that way, but I added a step in the middle there. If my website can't find the thumbnail on my web space it then looks to see if the Invelos online database has a version of the thumbnail that can be displayed instead. Well as it turns out, the way I implemented this made the right pane always dependent on the Invelos.com website being available.  That wasn't my intention at all and I've since addressed the issue so. Lesson learned.

There's no way to properly profile each movie unless each movie has its own profile.  As such, I would create a parent profile for the release as a whole and child profiles for each movie by Disc ID, Alternate Disc ID's being used for the 2nd and 3rd movies contained on a given disc.  And I would profile the release this way irrespective of what the Contribution Guidelines call for.

If profiles had yet to be contributed for the release I'd contribute them, then locking my local profiles down.  Whatever is done with the profiles I had contributed is irrelevant at that point.  People can do whatever they want to them.  I'm not going to allow my local profiles to be updated by anything in the Invelos online database anyway and will never need to download the profiles fresh so.

And locally I'd use movie specific front cover images for the child profiles.  It makes for a much nicer browsing experience that way.  My local database is my own.  Adhering to the Contribution Guidelines with respects to one's local database is silly.  To each his own naturally, but I have no interest in being part of the collective.
