| Posted: | | | | After CNET shut down DVDSpot last year, many people in their forum community were left stranded. A couple of members started their own forum called Bulletpointreview, so the community would have a place to gather. Well, a little over one year after the beginning of the forum site, they've launched a new and better website devoted to the latest news from Television, Film, DVD and Music. Not only will it offer the latest breaking news, but the forums will sponsor a varied amount of contests for its members. C'mon over and check it out. http://www.bprmedia.com/It's a work in progress and although the forum was made just to keep friends together, they decided they might as well add something other than a forum. One of the more popular forums when DVDSpot shut down, was the forum for discussing collection catalogers. Many 'new' sites came, but most ended up with Profiler with some going to DVDAF, and 1 or 2 opting for other sites. | | | Last edited: by Antares |

| Posted: | | | | I doubt this is going to attract anyone to the bakers dozen refugee forum of the once the great DVD site that was Spot. Most of the forum activity revolves around a few threads of who's hot or not.
And some guy who claims to be Doctor who posts pics of his kids and ridiculous low grade juvenile humour.
Not surprisingly he drives a pick up truck and votes republican then. | | | Last edited: by ShinyDiscGuy |

| Posted: | | | | Just an FYI what FilmAlba is leaving out is he has been banned from the BPR forums numerous times under different names, so he's a little bitter. | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com

Ahh, thought so. He's the first user that I tried a forumblock on. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Why am I not surprised. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. | Posted: | | | | OK, I've purposely avoided this thread due to my connections with the site but I feel I should mention a couple of things. FilmAlba - One of only two people to ever get banned from DVDSpot forums, he has also been banned from BPR at least 10 times. He's not a bad guy, but he could never post in a thread without it going into some sort of political Scottish Independence rant, even if the thread was about unique DVD packaging. The new site - It's still a work in progress (integration witht he forum etc etc) but we are aiming to give latest news in just a few lines. If you're like me you haven't got time to read 100 lines filled with opinions just to find out that someone has joined the cast of a movie. We also had our first annual charity auction last year, raising money for Scares That Care, a charity from horror director Joe Ripple (who is also a forum member). We raised over $200 thanks to contributions of money and auction lots from our small member base. Lastly - Ken, I apologise where this thread has taken. I had planned to keep out of it completely but felt I couldn't. I fully understand if it's removed etc etc (though I didn't post it) This site was what eventually led me (and a number of others here. | | | Last edited: by samuelrichardscott |
